This is a very comprehensive training workshop and is tailored to be useful to participants with varying degrees of previous background in public sector reform. The goal is to provide practical, usable, tools for improving the performance of government agencies. While the workshop will provide theoretical foundations for some of the reform efforts, the focus will be on implementation issues. The workshop will provide guidelines, lessons of experience, and resources for revitalizing government agencies at all levels.

In addition, the workshop will provide a wealth of background reference material and knowledge resources. This will allow participants to seek answers to specific question as and when they arise, long after they have participated in this workshop in Boston. This workshop exists for the purpose of furthering the development of a network of professional who can continue to enrich each other with their experience in carrying out this policy.
